MARKETING

Yesterday I was reminded of a simple strategy that I teach my students to begin immediately making money from their newsletter: When a new subscriber joins your list, instead of sending them to a thank you page, send them to the checkout page of a low-ticket, but high-value product.

BONUS points, if you add a discount with a deadline funnel to it.

As an example, when people subscribe to my newsletter, I have them confirm their subscription (because compliance) but as soon as they confirm, they're redirected to the sales page for my book.

Now here's the gag, my book is $27 but on that checkout page only, you can also add the Launch Made Simple template for only $17. 9/10 people keep the upsell increasing my average cart value from $27 to $44 every checkout. Might not seem like a lot, but every dollar counts as a business owner – especially a dollar I didn't have to do any extra work for.

MOTHERHOOD

Last week, I signed Brayden up for swim classes. I am so excited I think I've told literally every single person on the planet at this point. I mean eek, he's going to be the cutest little tadpole in the water. I'm actually a little scared because I don't even know how to swim, but Brayden has been getting more and more active so I felt like it was time to introduce him to some activities. With Brayden, I don't sit in indecision, I notice a need and I immediately spring into action to fill it.
