Do your research first.

Before you pitch, learn what the company or org is already investing in. Read their press releases, review job openings, or check their DEI or community initiatives. Align your offer with what they already care about.

Lead with value.

Your pitch should clearly state the outcome you help organizations achieve. Don’t lead with “I have 10 years of experience.” Lead with what result that experience can drive.

Make the next step obvious.

Don’t just end with "Let me know if you're interested." Instead, invite them to a 15-minute intro call or ask if you can send over a capability statement.
